Why read the report?
Events are poised to come back in a big way. In 2022, Vivid Sydney returned after a 2-year hiatus, and smashed records with 2.58 million attendees, a 7.5% increase from 2019.
We looked at Human Movement Data to learn:
- Where did people come from to attend the event
- What else did they do while they were in Sydney CBD
- How did weather and other factors play into visitor behaviour
We studied Sydney CBD and specific points of interest at Vivid Sydney including the Rocks & Circular Quay, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, and Darling Quarters & Darling Square for May-June 2019 and 2022.
